Multiple emergency services incidents and engineering works are causing significant delays across the National Rail network on Tuesday 24 March.

What is happening now

• Glasgow Central: Major disruption expected until end of day affecting Grand Central and TransPennine Express services. Glasgow to Edinburgh routes are impacted.
• North East: Emergency services incident between Darlington and Newcastle is causing cancellations and diversions. Services are not calling at Durham or Northallerton on LNER routes. Journey times have been extended by up to 90 minutes.
• York Northallerton line: Grand Central and TransPennine Express disruption affecting travel in North Yorkshire.

Other disruptions today

• Buses replacing trains between Horsham and Barnham
• Reduced services on the Paddock Wood to Strood line (Southeastern)
• Amended Oxford to Reading services
• Disrupted Great Western Railway services to and from Swansea
• Northern Rail: Services cancelled or diverted via Sunderland until 0930
